BOSU/Disc

A great way to both work on strengthening the core muscles that wrap around your waist and support your spine and improve your balance and coordination is with a new workout tool called a BOSU which stands for "both sides up." On one side it is a half of a balance ball on the other side it is a flat surface.

This is a great tool that allows you to complete a variety of different workouts. Inflatable discs or foam pads are another type of workout tool to exercise your nervous system and improve your balance and coordination. This is a great way to reduce your risk of injury as you age. Many age-related injuries are due to falls because of poor balance and coordination.

Testimonial

  • "I was referred to Dr. Coogan from a friend of mine, Laura, and patient of Dr. Coogan. I am currently recovering from breast cancer. The chemotherapy, surgery and hormonal therapy have had a big impact on my body. Chiropractic has helped me loosen tight connective tissue, increased function in my joints and reduced pain and inflammation in several parts of my body. Doc and the whole team at Old Mill Chiropractic are always so friendly and helpful. Thank You!!"
